Auction

Purpose
Back in 2014, the Corn Party featured our first-ever silent and live auction, with all the proceeds going to the Daniel Huffstutler & Dale Herbst Scholarship Fund. The scholarship was originally founded in 2007 and honors Brett’s former college roommate, Dan Huffstutler - one of our original MAiZE members from Alabama. In 2018, the name of the scholarship fund was amended in honor of all our parents who have so much influence in shaping our lives, by including Brett’s father who passed away in 2017.
Scholarship
Since 2007 there have been 71 scholarships awarded to deserving college-bound students who are immediate members of MAiZE families and/or long-time farm employees. Beginning in 2021, the scholarship program was expanded to also fund humanitarian efforts, in addition to college/secondary education. Scholarship winners are determined by the advisory board and typically each receive scholarships valued at $3000.
How to Donate
Attendees & vendors are encouraged to donate any item or service to the silent or live auction to help fund our annual scholarships. Previous donations have included everything from quilts, wine, gift baskets of farm goodies/swag, home decor, beauty products, trips, vendor products & so much more.

Speakers/Sessions

Keynote Speakers

Jay Baer - Hug Your Haters

We are excited to announce Jay Baer as our keynote speaker, a renowned business strategist and one of the world’s most inspirational customer experience, customer service, and marketing keynote speakers.

If it feels like there are more complaints than ever, and that you’re spending more time and money dealing with negativity and backlash, you’re right. But the rise of customer complaints is actually an enormous opportunity. 80% of companies say they deliver exceptional customer service. 8% of their customers agree. Jay teaches the critical steps necessary to retain and delight customers in this disrupted era when customer service has become a spectator sport.

Elaine Froese - Farm Family Transition Expert

For more than 30 years Elaine Froese has been a sounding board for farm families as they seek to find ways to work together in harmony and prepare the farm for the next generation. As a farmer herself, and mother to the successor of their farm, she understands the culture of agriculture like the back of her hand. As a professional speaker, it’s Elaine's passion to share simple, practical and actionable tools with farm families so they can talk about tough issues and get traction in their farm transition. Her mission is to guide farm families to get unstuck, communicate better, find harmony through understanding, and secure a successful farm transition.

PRIVATE CONSULTATIONS

Want to meet with Elaine for a private consultation during the Corn Party? She's making available a limited number of private sessions, available first-come first-serve. CLICK HERE to book now.

Classroom Learning Sessions
This year's breakout sessions will cover a variety of topics, including food, marketing, online marketing, family transition, employing recruiting/rewarding, and much more.

Exhibitors

Vendor Tradeshow
The annual MAiZE Siteowner’s Conference is a wonderful opportunity to expose your products or services, in a face-to-face setting, with more than 450 of our corn maze operators. Each year, the conference features an intimate vendor display area, where a handful of companies are given permission to share their information with the attendees. Below are the options available for vendors:

  1.  Set up a display - register for an 8x10 booth space where you can share your products/services firsthand. Please email rilee@themaize.com with any questions.
  2.  Submit a flier and/or sample to be included in each attendee's conference registration bag by signing up for the vendor packet.

Somewhere you want to go?
We are always looking for suggestions on where to take the Corn Party next. It's a bit of puzzle to piece together the factors that weigh into our decision...weather, rotating to different parts of the country, ability to piece together a good bus or road trip, cost, etc. But if you have somewhere in mind, please let us know!
