German Pancakes & Buttermilk Syrup
Mix these ingredients in a large bowl:
- ¼ cup Butter
- ½ cup Milk
- 4 Eggs
- ½ cup Flour
- ¼ teaspoon Salt
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees, in a 9x13 pan put butter and place it in the oven until it's golden brown. While the butter is browning, mix milk and eggs until smooth, then add flour, and salt and mix it all together until it’s fully combined. Pour the mixture in the 9x13 pan or cast iron pan (that's my favorite) and cook for about 12-15 minutes until it's a light golden brown and the sides are fluffy. Enjoy!
Tip: you always need to make sure you mix the milk and the eggs first! That will help make them more fluffy!
Best Buttermilk Syrup Ever
- ½ cup Butter
- ½ cup Buttermilk
- 1 cup White Sugar
- ½ teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- ½ teaspoon Maple Extract
Melt the butter in a pot over medium heat, then add buttermilk, and sugar. Bring to a boil while constantly stirring then add baking soda, and vanilla. Take off the heat. Enjoy!
Tip: If you don't have buttermilk, you can substitute with ½ cup of milk and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice. In a liquid measuring cup or small bowl, combine milk and lemon juice, let it sit for 5 mins before adding to the pot.
